The Pause Automation block stops a flow's execution indefinitely — it does not wait for a fixed time and does not wait for user input either. It simply halts the automation until someone manually resumes it. This is different from a timed delay.
If you want the flow to wait a set number of minutes, hours, or days and then continue automatically, use the Time Delay block instead. Pause Automation stops the flow indefinitely with no automatic resume.
Pause Automation stops execution entirely with no automatic resume — a human or a separate action must restart it. Smart Wait pauses while waiting specifically for the customer's reply. Time Delay waits a fixed duration or until a specific date/time, then continues on its own. Use Pause Automation for human handoff, Smart Wait for expected replies, and Time Delay for scheduled timing.
