Lock or unlock a bot flow — WA.Expert Help

Lock a bot flow or automation to prevent accidental edits by yourself or your team. A locked flow can still run normally — locking only blocks changes to its structure, not its operation. Unlocking requires email OTP verification, so a lock can't be bypassed casually.

Lock a flow

Go to your Bot Flow or Workflow list.

In the Actions column, click the three dots.

Select Lock Workflow.

Enter any email ID — it doesn't need to be linked to the account.

Click to receive an OTP, then open that inbox and copy the code.

Paste the OTP and click Verify OTP. The flow is now locked.

Unlock a flow

Click Unlock Bot Flow.

Enter the same email ID used to lock it.

Receive the OTP, paste it, and click Verify OTP.

OTP expires in 5 minutes

Have the email inbox open and ready before you request the OTP for either locking or unlocking — the code expires quickly.
