A chat widget is a WhatsApp button that floats on your website. A visitor taps it and a WhatsApp chat with your business opens, turning web traffic into conversations.
1
Click Create New Widget. Enter a widget name, select a category, and enter your domain name.
2
Choose the destination: a WhatsApp channel, a specific WhatsApp number, or chat widget only.
3
Customise the chat button: position, colour, size, and margins.
4
Customise the chat screen: title, subtitle, brand colour, text colour, agent profile image, and default text.
5
Optionally add a pre-chat form — text, email, or date input questions, with responses stored in custom fields.
6
Set the pre-chat session behaviour: whether it opens by default, and its frequency and duration.
7
Click Save, then Preview to check how it looks.
8
Copy the widget code snippet and paste it into your website before the closing body tag.
Starts a real chatUnlike a contact form, the widget opens an actual WhatsApp chat, so your bots and team inbox take over immediately.
