Connect Shopify and WooCommerce

Shopify and WooCommerce are the two most common stores WA.Expert customers connect. Linking either lets you sync orders and trigger WhatsApp on events like a new order, shipment, or an abandoned cart.

Send shipment tracking automatically (Shopify)

1
In Shopify, go to Settings → Notifications and create a webhook with the event set to Order Fulfillment.
2
Paste your automation's webhook URL and select the appropriate API version.
3
In the Automation Builder, capture the incoming webhook data and save it.
4
Add a CRM → Send Template Message block, choose your template, and include variables for order ID and company name.
5
Map the WhatsApp number from the webhook's body variables.
6
Run and save — the customer receives tracking details the moment the order ships.

Send a tracking link and collect feedback later

A related but distinct flow: send the customer a WhatsApp message with a tracking URL button, then automatically follow up 10 days later asking for feedback.

1
Create a custom webhook in Shopify and copy its URL.
2
In the Automation Builder, capture the incoming webhook and extract the order status URL from the received data.
3
Create a WhatsApp template with a dynamic URL button to carry the tracking link.
4
Use the split text function to extract the variable part of the order status URL.
5
Send the CRM template message to the customer with the tracking URL button.
6
Add a 10-day time delay, then send a second template message asking for feedback.

Other order events

Send an order confirmation when a customer buys, and a recovery message for an abandoned cart. Shopify connects through its built-in webhooks; WooCommerce connects through its webhooks or a plugin. See the Automation Builder docs for the new-order and abandoned-cart flows.
