Voice AI is an AI agent that talks. Instead of only replying in chat, it can hold a spoken conversation with a customer on a call, answering questions and guiding them in natural speech, listening and understanding in real time.
Every voice conversation runs through three stages: Speech-to-Text (STT) converts what the customer says into text, an LLM understands the intent and generates a reply, and Text-to-Speech (TTS) converts that reply back into natural-sounding voice.
From the Voice Agent Dashboard, click Create New Agent. Give it a name and write instructions defining its personality, tone, behaviour, and role — for example, a support agent or a sales assistant. Set a welcome message, the first sentence spoken when a call connects.
Configure a silence timeout (seconds of no conversation before the call disconnects automatically) and an off-topic question limit (how many unrelated questions the agent tolerates before ending the call) to keep calls on track. Choose the AI model, voice type, and language, and enable noise cancellation for clearer conversations in noisy environments.
Use Voice AI for callers who prefer to speak, for after-hours coverage, or to handle routine enquiries by voice so your team handles the rest. Deployed use cases include customer support, lead qualification, booking assistance, product explanations, and AI receptionist duties — available 24/7. It complements your chat bots rather than replacing them.
A customer might start on a voice call and continue in WhatsApp chat. Voice AI is one more channel on the same platform. Once you customise the branding and preview the widget, save the agent and copy the widget code to embed it on your website.
