What happens when WhatsApp can talk to every other tool your business uses?

You've now covered 5 WA.Expert features. Today is the one that ties everything together. AI integration and third-party integrations are what turn a good WhatsApp platform into a fully automated business system.

Let's start with AI. WA.Expert can connect your WhatsApp chatbot to an AI model — like ChatGPT. Without AI, your chatbot is rule-based: it only knows what you've programmed. With AI, it can answer open-ended questions, have natural conversations, and handle things you didn't anticipate. Instead of "Press 1 for orders" — it becomes "Ask me anything about your order."

🔌
Integrations are like pipes between buildings. Your Shopify store is one building. Your WhatsApp is another. An integration is the pipe that connects them — so when something happens in one (a new order), it automatically triggers something in the other (a WhatsApp confirmation message). No human needed to carry the message between them.

WA.Expert integrates natively with tools like Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Sheets, and more. You can also connect to almost any other software using HTTP API calls or webhooks — which means if there's a tool your business uses, there's almost certainly a way to connect it to WA.Expert.

🤖
AI-powered chatbots
Connect GPT or other AI models — your bot handles open-ended questions, not just pre-set menus
🛒
Shopify + WooCommerce
Order confirmed → WhatsApp message fires automatically. No human triggers it.
📊
Google Sheets
Every form submission, lead, or response gets logged in a sheet automatically
⚙️
Webhooks + HTTP API
Connect any software. If it has an API, WA.Expert can talk to it.

🤔 Think about it: Without integrations, someone has to manually send "Your order is confirmed" for every single order. With a Shopify integration, that message fires automatically the moment an order is placed — at scale, at any time of day or night.

Week 1 is done after today. You've covered all 7 WA.Expert features. From next Monday, you move into the real world — how specific industries actually use all of this.

Question 1 of 5
What is the main difference between a rule-based chatbot and an AI-powered chatbot?
A
AI chatbots are faster
B
Rule-based bots only respond to pre-set inputs; AI bots can handle open-ended, unexpected questions naturally
C
AI bots are free; rule-based ones cost money
D
Rule-based bots work on WhatsApp; AI bots only work on websites
✅ Exactly. Rule-based: you program every possible answer. AI-powered: it can understand and respond to things you didn't anticipate, like a human would.
❌ The key difference is flexibility. Rule-based bots follow strict pre-set paths. AI bots understand natural language and can handle questions the programmer never specifically prepared for.
Question 2 of 5
A customer places an order on Shopify. 30 seconds later, they get a WhatsApp confirmation message automatically. What made this possible?
A
A staff member saw the order and sent the message quickly
B
Shopify integration — Shopify told WA.Expert about the order, which triggered the WhatsApp message
C
WhatsApp automatically sends confirmations for all purchases
D
A bulk messaging campaign
✅ That's an integration at work. Shopify fires a trigger when an order is placed → WA.Expert receives it → sends the WhatsApp confirmation. Zero human involvement.
❌ This is a Shopify integration. The order event in Shopify triggers WA.Expert to send the WhatsApp message automatically. No one manually sent it.
Question 3 of 5
What is a webhook, in the simplest possible terms?
A
A tool for designing websites
B
A notification that one software sends to another when something happens — like a digital tap on the shoulder
C
A type of WhatsApp message template
D
A fishing tool for data
✅ A webhook is exactly that — a digital tap on the shoulder. "Hey, something just happened — do something about it." Software A tells Software B about an event in real time.
❌ A webhook is a real-time notification between software systems. When event X happens in App A, it immediately notifies App B. Think of it as one app tapping another on the shoulder.
Question 4 of 5
A business connects WA.Expert to Google Sheets. A customer fills in a lead form on WhatsApp. What most likely happens next?
A
The sheet sends the customer an email
B
Their details are automatically added as a new row in the Google Sheet
C
A bulk message is triggered
D
The chatbot restarts
✅ The integration logs the lead automatically in Google Sheets — name, number, what they asked, timestamp. No manual copy-paste required.
❌ With a Google Sheets integration, form submissions from WhatsApp get automatically logged as rows in the sheet. Real-time, automatic, no human involved.
Question 5 of 5
You've now covered all 7 WA.Expert features over Week 1. Which feature was covered today?
A
Bulk Messaging
B
WhatsApp Flows
C
AI Integration + Integrations with other tools
D
Team Inbox
✅ Week 1 complete — AI Integration and third-party integrations. You've now covered: WA.Expert overview, App vs API, Chatbots, Team Inbox + CRM, Bulk Messaging, and AI + Integrations. Week 2 starts Monday with real industries.
❌ Today was AI Integration and third-party integrations (Shopify, Google Sheets, webhooks, etc.). That completes Week 1's platform coverage. Week 2 starts Monday with industry deep-dives.

🎉 Task 6 — done!

Day 6 complete. Task 7 opens on your assigned Monday — see you then.

📝 Today's Task
Week 1 done! Final task of the week: think of one business you know personally. Map out one complete automation they could build using WA.Expert — from trigger to message. For example: "New enquiry on their website → details sent to WA.Expert via webhook → chatbot follows up on WhatsApp automatically → lead saved in CRM." Make it specific to a real business.
"My uncle's pharmacy. Every time a doctor uploads a new prescription on their website form → webhook fires to WA.Expert → WhatsApp message sent to the patient: 'Your prescription is ready, collect by 6 PM' → patient added to CRM tagged as 'Regular'."
