Never badmouth a competitor. Know them better than your prospect does — then let the facts speak.

Prospects will ask. "What about WATI?" "I've heard of Interakt." "Someone recommended AiSensy." When they ask, most salespeople either dismiss competitors ("they're not as good") or get defensive ("our platform is much better"). Both approaches lose trust.

The right approach: know each competitor well enough to give an honest, fair comparison — then show specifically where WA.Expert fits their situation better. Honesty in competitive positioning builds more trust than any claim of superiority.

⚖️
Think of this like a doctor comparing treatments. A good doctor doesn't say "this medication is the best" — they say "for your specific condition and profile, here's why I'm recommending this one over the alternatives." Specific, honest, and tailored to the patient. That's how you recommend WA.Expert.
🆚
vs WATI
WATI is a strong, well-funded competitor with a polished interface. WA.Expert's edge: zero markup on Meta rates (WATI marks up), competitive pricing for Indian SMBs, strong local support. Honest fit: both are credible — WA.Expert wins on pricing transparency and cost.
🆚
vs Interakt
Interakt is strong on e-commerce (Shopify integration). WA.Expert has comparable e-commerce features + broader industry coverage + zero markup pricing. Honest fit: for pure Shopify e-commerce heavy users, both are strong. For mixed-industry clients, WA.Expert broader.
🆚
vs AiSensy
AiSensy is focused on bulk campaigns and broadcast. WA.Expert is a full-stack platform (chatbot + inbox + CRM + bulk). Honest fit: if a client only needs bulk campaigns, AiSensy is simpler. If they need the full suite, WA.Expert is more comprehensive.
WA.Expert's consistent edge
Zero markup on Meta rates. Full-stack platform (not a point solution). Built for Indian businesses. Competitive plan pricing. No hidden charges. These hold across all comparisons.

💡 The honest competitor rule: If a competitor genuinely fits a prospect better than WA.Expert — tell them. This almost never happens with a well-qualified prospect. But the willingness to say it makes everything else you say 10x more credible.

5 questions Need 3/5 Unlimited tries Instant feedback
Question 1 of 5
A prospect says 'I've been looking at WATI as well.' What is the ideal response?
A
'WATI is not as good as WA.Expert — here's why you should choose us.'
B
'WATI is a strong platform — they've built a good product. The main difference I'd highlight for your specific situation is [zero markup on Meta rates / pricing for your usage level / specific feature gap]. Would it be useful to compare the two side by side for your exact use case?'
C
'I'm not familiar with WATI.'
D
Ignore the mention and continue pitching WA.Expert
✅ Acknowledge competitor strength, then pivot to the specific relevant difference. This response is honest, knowledgeable, and wins trust immediately.
❌ Option B is the answer. Acknowledging WATI's quality while highlighting specific relevant differences for this prospect's situation is far more credible than dismissal.
Question 2 of 5
What is WA.Expert's most consistently defensible advantage over all major competitors?
A
It was founded first
B
Zero markup on Meta's conversation rates — most competitors add 10–30% margin on top. At scale, this is a meaningful and verifiable cost difference.
C
It has the most features
D
It has the best customer support
✅ Zero markup is verifiable, meaningful at scale, and honest. It's the advantage that doesn't require you to claim superiority in every other dimension.
❌ Zero markup is the defensible answer. It's verifiable (client can compare), meaningful at scale, and represents a genuine business philosophy difference. Not just a claim.
Question 3 of 5
A prospect who only needs bulk WhatsApp campaigns asks about AiSensy. Honest response?
A
'AiSensy is terrible — don't use them.'
B
'AiSensy is focused specifically on bulk campaigns and does that well. WA.Expert is a full-stack platform — if bulk campaigns are your only need right now, AiSensy is simpler and cheaper. If you'll ever need a Team Inbox, chatbots, or CRM, WA.Expert is the better long-term fit. What does your plan look like in 6 months?'
C
'WA.Expert does bulk campaigns perfectly so AiSensy is irrelevant.'
D
'I can offer you a better price than AiSensy.'
✅ Honest and strategic. If they only need bulk, acknowledge it. Then ask about future needs — because the answer often reveals they'll need more than just bulk within months.
❌ Option B is the honest, strategic answer. Acknowledge AiSensy's strength for that use case, then ask about future needs. Future needs almost always point to the full stack.
Question 4 of 5
Why is honest competitive comparison more persuasive than claiming superiority in every category?
A
It's not more persuasive — always claim you're the best
B
When you acknowledge a competitor's strengths, the prospect believes everything else you say. Credibility earned on honesty is worth more than any feature claim.
C
It shows you're afraid of competitors
D
Competitors appreciate the mention
✅ Credibility from honesty is the most durable sales asset. Once a prospect knows you'll tell them the truth even when it doesn't favour you, every positive claim you make becomes 10x more believable.
❌ Credibility from honesty is the answer. When you tell the truth about a competitor's strength, the prospect believes your honest assessment of the differences. That's worth more than any feature list.
Question 5 of 5
A prospect asks 'Why should I choose WA.Expert over building something custom on the WhatsApp API directly?' Best response?
A
'Building custom is very complicated — you can't do it.'
B
'Building on the API directly means hiring developers, maintaining infrastructure, handling Meta compliance updates, and building every feature from scratch. WA.Expert gives you a production-ready platform today — chatbot, inbox, CRM, bulk, flows — for a fraction of the cost and time. Unless you have a very unusual technical requirement, the build cost will never recover vs the platform cost.'
C
'Custom builds are always worse than SaaS platforms.'
D
'We work with Meta so we have special access.'
✅ Honest and specific. Acknowledge that custom is technically possible, then calculate why it doesn't make sense for 99% of businesses. Developer cost, maintenance, compliance — these are real numbers.
❌ Option B is the answer. Acknowledge that custom is possible, then be specific about why the build-vs-buy calculation almost always favours a platform like WA.Expert for non-enterprise businesses.
