Step by step

How the top-up process works

Five steps, start to finish. The whole thing typically takes less than 24 hours on a business day.

1
Message us on WhatsApp with the amount you need
Send us a WhatsApp message saying how much you'd like to add — for example, "Please top up my wallet by ₹2,000." Include your registered email or account name so we can match it to your account instantly.
Takes under a minute
2
We raise a GST invoice and send it to you
Our team raises a proper GST invoice for the amount you requested, plus 18% GST. We send it to you on WhatsApp or email — whichever is easier. GST is claimable as input credit if your business is GST-registered.
Usually within a few minutes during business hours
3
Pay via UPI, NEFT, or bank transfer
The invoice includes our payment details. Pay using any method that works for you — UPI (instant), NEFT, or bank transfer. Once payment is done, send us the UTR number or a payment screenshot on WhatsApp. That's what lets us match and confirm your payment fast.
Always share your UTR — it speeds up processing significantly
4
We verify the payment and credit your wallet
Our team verifies the payment against the UTR and credits the exact amount (excluding GST) to your WA.Expert wallet. You'll receive a confirmation on WhatsApp once it's done.
Within 24 hours — often same day on weekdays
5
Your balance updates in the dashboard — you're ready to send
Log in to your WA.Expert dashboard and you'll see the updated wallet balance. Message charges are deducted automatically as your campaigns send — no manual action needed from here.
Automatic from this point

How much should I top up? A marketing message to an Indian number costs ₹0.86 (utility messages are ₹0.115). If you're planning to send 5,000 marketing messages, ₹5,000 is a comfortable start with some buffer. Your dashboard shows your live balance — set a reminder to top up before it runs low so your campaigns never pause unexpectedly.
Questions

Common questions about the wallet

If something isn't covered here, just ask us on WhatsApp.

I paid but my wallet hasn't updated. What do I do?
Message us on WhatsApp with your UTR number or payment screenshot. Our team will verify and credit it manually. This is usually resolved within a couple of hours on business days.
Can I top up in amounts less than ₹1,000?
No. The minimum per transaction is ₹1,000 (plus 18% GST). Top-ups are accepted in multiples of ₹1,000 only — so ₹1,000, ₹2,000, ₹5,000, ₹10,000, and so on.
Does my wallet balance ever expire?
No. Your wallet balance carries forward indefinitely. There is no expiry, no rollover period, and no "use it or lose it" policy. Whatever you add stays until you spend it.
My campaign paused because my balance ran out. How do I resume?
Top up your wallet using the steps above. Once funds are added, your campaign can be resumed from the dashboard. If you're in the middle of a time-sensitive campaign, message us urgently on WhatsApp and we'll prioritise your top-up.
Can I get a refund on unused wallet balance?
Unused wallet balance may be eligible for refund subject to Meta's billing terms. Contact us on WhatsApp and we'll walk you through the process.
Is the wallet shared across multiple WhatsApp numbers on my account?
Yes. Your wallet balance covers message charges across all WhatsApp numbers connected to your WA.Expert account. You don't need separate wallets per number.
What is a UTR number and where do I find it?
UTR (Unique Transaction Reference) is the reference ID generated by your bank when you make a NEFT or UPI payment. It's usually 12–22 characters. You'll find it in your bank app under transaction history, your UPI app receipt, or the payment confirmation SMS. Sharing it with us is the fastest way to get your wallet credited.
