Quick start in 5 steps

You do not need to be a developer to try this. An API is just a way for one app to send a message to another. Follow these five steps and you will send your first WhatsApp message from a test tool, no code required.

1
Get your API key. Sign in to your WA.Expert dashboard and copy your access token and phone number ID from the channel's API settings.
2
Open the Postman collection. Postman is a free tool that lets you send a request by filling in a form, no coding. Open our ready-made collection in your browser.
3
Paste in your key. Put your access token and phone number ID into the collection, so it knows it is you sending.
4
Send a test message. Pick the send a text message request, enter your own WhatsApp number, and press Send. It should arrive in seconds.
5
Try a template. Once that works, try the send a template message request to reach customers outside the 24-hour window. Then hand the same details to your developer.
