Create a native flow from WA Manager

As well as the Mini App builder, you can create a native flow directly in WhatsApp Manager (Meta's own tooling) and send it to users through a bot. This route is more technical — you're building the flow as part of an approved template rather than in WA.Expert's visual editor.

Step 1: Build the flow in WhatsApp Manager

In your WhatsApp API, click the three dots and select WA Manager.

On the left menu, choose Message Templates → Create a Template.

For template type, select Marketing → Form.

Fill in the template name, language, and body.

Use the drag-and-drop UI to design your flow: screens, questions, and buttons.

Save the flow and submit it for Meta's approval.

Step 2: Connect it to a bot flow

Before you start, create four custom fields in the CRM to hold the flow's responses.

Once the template is approved, create a new bot flow in the Bot Builder and set a trigger keyword.

Use the Interactive Flow option to ask a user question.

Select the published flow from WA Manager, and paste in the flow ID and token.

Configure the screen ID, the response save location, and the expected answer type.

Save, enable, and test the bot flow.

Step 3: Process and export the data

When a user submits the flow, the response is saved into your custom fields as a single block of data — not automatically split into individual values.

Use the Extract JSON from String automation to parse the response into separate custom fields.

Export contacts from the CRM to get a clean, structured dataset of all responses.
When to use this vs the Mini App builder

Use WA Manager when a specific template requires a flow authored there, or your team already works in Meta's tooling. For most cases, the in-platform Mini App builder is faster and avoids the JSON extraction step — see the Create a Mini App guide.
