Switching your WhatsApp Business API provider (BSP) doesn't mean starting from scratch. Your phone number, approved templates, quality rating, and messaging tier all transfer. This is the complete step-by-step migration guide for moving to WA.Expert from any other BSP.

💡 Export your contact list and message history before initiating migration. Most BSPs allow data export from settings. Once the WABA transfers, your old provider's access ends and you lose access to their stored data.
Contact list (CSV), message templates (screenshot or export), automation flow diagrams, and 90 days of conversation history if needed. Do this before initiating any transfer.
Register at dash.wa.expert/register. Do not register a new phone number — you'll migrate your existing number. Inform WA.Expert team that you're migrating (not setting up fresh).
Business Manager → WhatsApp → Settings → Transfer Number. Enter WA.Expert's Business Manager ID (provided in your WA.Expert dashboard). Meta sends a transfer request to WA.Expert.
WA.Expert's team confirms and accepts the WABA transfer. Your number appears in WA.Expert dashboard. The old BSP loses access simultaneously.
Import your contact CSV to WA.Expert CRM. Recreate chatbot flows using WA.Expert's builder. Re-configure webhooks and integrations (Shopify, Zoho, etc.).
Send test messages to your own number, verify templates work, check webhooks fire correctly, test chatbot flows end-to-end. Go live only after full verification.
⚠️ There is a brief sending pause during transfer — typically 15–60 minutes while the WABA is transferred between BSPs. Schedule the migration during a low-traffic period (Sunday night or early morning) to minimise impact.
