Knowing what costs money inside a workflow helps you build efficiently. The rule is short.
Two things carry a charge: an outgoing template message (billed at Meta's per-message rate) and an external API or automation-app action step. Everything else inside the workflow, the routers, delays, text and date blocks, and steps that stay inside the platform, is not metered. Incoming messages are always free.
You can add as much internal logic as you like at no cost. The spend comes only when you message a customer or call an outside service.
