The datastore: a database in your workflow

The datastore is a database that lives inside the automation builder, backed by MongoDB. A workflow can add a record, find or get a record by its ID, search records, and update them. Use it when a workflow needs to remember something between runs, like a booking, a running total, or a lookup table.

Set it up

Create a database in MongoDB and connect it as a datastore in the dashboard.

In a workflow, use Add New Record to store data.

Use Find or Get Record with Record ID to read it back.

Use Search Records to query, and Update Record to change it.

When you need it

Most workflows do not need a datastore. Reach for it when a flow must look something up or remember state across runs that the CRM fields cannot hold.
