Tags are quick labels you stick on contacts, like VIP, interested, or follow-up. They are a fast, flexible way to mark people without creating a full super field, and you can filter or segment on them later.
These steps describe CRM V2, the current version. If your account is still on the older CRM, the screens differ but the ideas are the same. Newer accounts are on V2 by default.
Add a tag from a contact, from the inbox during a chat, or automatically from a bot or automation. Then filter the contacts list by tag, or build a segment that targets a tag, to message everyone with it.
Use a tag for a simple yes-or-no label you apply on the fly. Use a super field when you need a typed value like a date, amount, or dropdown choice.
