Connect a Shopify store

Connecting Shopify links your store's products and orders to WA.Expert, so you can sync your catalogue and trigger WhatsApp messages on Shopify events like a new order or an abandoned cart.

What you get

Sync products from Shopify, and use automations to message customers when an order is placed, send a tracking link, or recover an abandoned cart. The order-event automations are built in the Automation Builder.

Step 1: Get your Shopify access token

In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → Apps and sales channel settings.

Click Develop apps, then create a new app and give it a name (e.g., "Automations").

Click Configure Admin API scopes and enable these permissions:

Write and read draft orders · Write and read customers · Write and read order edits · Write and read orders · Write product feeds · Read/write product listings · Read/write products · Write and read inventory

Save the changes, go to Configuration → API credentials, and click Install app.

Copy the generated access token.

Step 2: Connect the store in WA.Expert

Go to the storefront section, click Shopify Store, then Connect Store.

Enter your Shopify store domain (your myshopify.com domain) and paste the access token.

Click Next — the system validates your access token.

Name the store and click Create to complete the connection.
