Award points with bots and automations

Points are most useful when they update themselves. There are two ways to create a reward transaction: manually from the dashboard, or automatically through a bot flow with no manual entry.

Method 1: Create a transaction manually

Go to Rewards → Create Transaction.

Select the customer name from the dropdown.

Choose the transaction field, then the operation: Add, Subtract, Multiply, or Divide.

Enter the transaction value and an optional note for reference.

Click Create.

Method 2: Create transactions via a bot

In Bot Builder, add a trigger and channel, and set any conditions you need.

Ask questions to collect the details you need (email, reason, amount), saving each into a custom field.

Add Automation Block → Reward Points → Search Customer, and search using the WhatsApp number. Create a new authentication if required.

Add a Basic Router: if the customer is new, create the customer and transaction; if existing, update the transaction field.

In the Reward Points App step, select the authentication, map the customer details, select the transaction field, choose the operation, and enter the value and note.

Click Run & Save.
