Apply for the green tick (blue badge)

The verified badge, often called the green tick, tells customers your account genuinely belongs to your business. It is granted by Meta after a review and is separate from simply being on the API.

How to apply

Make sure your business is verified in Meta Business Manager first.

From your channel, open WhatsApp Manager and find the verification request option for the number.

Submit the request. Meta reviews brand notability and may ask for supporting links.

Meta grants the badge based on how well known your brand is, with press coverage and an established presence helping. Not every business qualifies on the first try. A clean display name and verified business account are the baseline.

The badge is not required to send messages. Your number works fully without it, the badge only adds a trust signal.
