Webhook or automation is not firing

When an automation does not run on an incoming webhook, the cause is usually the webhook setup, the field mapping, or the workflow not being enabled.

Common causes

The workflow is not enabled. The external app is posting to the wrong URL. The webhook was never captured, so fields are not mapped. The field mapping is wrong, so the message has no number or variables. Or the outgoing step uses a non-approved template.

Confirm the workflow is enabled.

Check the external app posts to the exact webhook URL from the trigger.

Use Capture Incoming Webhook and send a test so the fields appear.

Map the phone number and template variables to the captured fields.

Confirm the send-template step uses an approved template, then run and save.
