The Ask a Question block

The Ask a Question block collects information from the customer and stores the reply for use later in the flow, in personalisation, lead capture, or further automation.

Configure it

Add the Ask a Question node to your flow.

Choose the message type: text, image, video, document, or audio. Text is common for names and emails.

Type the question, for example “Please enter your full name.”

Set the answer type: single reply or multiple replies.

Choose Save Response To: a bot field or an existing field like First Name or Email.

Set Expected Answer Type for validation, for example Text, Email, Image, or Video.

Set the response waiting time, then click Save Question.
Keep the timeout under 24 hours

Messaging sessions expire after 24 hours, so a waiting time of 12 to 24 hours is recommended. Longer than that and the session may close before the customer replies.
