Button payloads: store hidden values

A button payload is a hidden value attached to a button. The customer sees a normal button, but tapping it stores a value you can use later to branch the flow or personalise a reply. It keeps the visible message clean while carrying data behind the scenes.

Why use it

Say you show three plan buttons. Each can carry a hidden plan code as its payload. When the customer taps one, you read the payload in the next step and route them down the right path, without ever printing the code in the chat.
