What businesses do with it on WhatsApp
- Order confirmation the moment a customer checks out
- Shipping and delivery updates with a tracking link button
- Abandoned cart reminders with the cart link
- Cash-on-delivery confirmation before you ship, to cut returns
- A feedback or review request a few days after delivery
How to connect Shopify with WA.Expert
- In WA.Expert, open the Automation Builder, create a workflow and add a Custom Webhook trigger. Copy the webhook URL.
- In Shopify, go to Settings, then Notifications, and create a webhook. Set the event (for example Order creation), choose JSON and paste the WA.Expert URL.
- Back in the builder, click Capture Incoming Webhook and place a test order so the order fields appear.
- Add a CRM, Send Template Message step. Pick your approved template and map the customer's phone number, name and order details.
- Save and enable. Every new order now sends the message automatically.

Questions
Do I need a Shopify app to send WhatsApp messages?
No. WA.Expert listens to Shopify's own webhooks, so there is nothing extra to install in Shopify. You need an approved WhatsApp template for each message type.
Can I send abandoned cart reminders?
Yes. Use Shopify's checkout webhook as the trigger, add a time delay, then send a template with the cart link. Keep it to one or two reminders so customers do not opt out.
Which number do messages come from?
From your own WhatsApp Business API number connected to WA.Expert, with your business name and logo.
